Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was delighted with the return of some of his players during the FC Porto game in the Champions League on Wednesday. In his post-match presser, Klopp expressed his delight that he was able to give minutes to players such as Andy Robertson and James Milner who were returning from respective injuries. The Liverpool boss was also delighted that he was able to rest some key players.

Robertson and Milner returned to the Liverpool squad for the Porto game after their recent absence to provide Jurgen Klopp with a massive boost ahead of a busy run of games in the Premier League. Scotland national team skipper Robertson sustained an hamstring injury during the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier with Denmark last week and it forced him to miss the big league win over Arsenal on Saturday. The Scotsman made his return in the second half of the Porto game.
On his part, midfielder Milner has been missing in recent weeks due to a hamstring problem. The retired England international had been absent from the Liverpool squad before this month’s international break. Milner was subbed on for the final twelve (13) minutes of the Porto game.
