Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and his players are keen to get their latest Premier League campaign going ahead of the visit of newly promoted team Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.

It’s a surprise that title challengers Liverpool are yet to win a game after the end of the third week as far as the latest Premier League campaign is concerned. The Mersey side giants have a record of two draws and one draw from their three league outings this season. Liverpool started the new season with the surprising 2-2 draw at the home of newly promoted team Fulham. The hosts led twice before Liverpool bounced back to take a point from the game. The Reds were heavy favourites to take three points from the game, but they were unable to achieve partly due to the influence of Serbian striker AleksandarMitrovic. Ex-Newcastle United star Mitrovic scored twice for Fulham, while Mohamed Salah and new signing Darwin Nunez scored the goals for Liverpool. Nunez came off the bench to produce a goal and an assist for the Reds during the game.

Just like what was obtainable with the Fulham game, Liverpool were favourites to secure the three points on offer at the end of their first game at home in the league at the expense of South London team Crystal Palace. Like the Fulham game, their clash with Palace ended in a score draw as they failed to secure victory in a game they were clearly favourites to win. WilfriedZaha gave Crystal Palace the lead in the first half and it was enough to take his team into the half-time break with a one-nil lead. Liverpool forward Luis Diaz scored the equaliser for Liverpool in the second half for a 1-1 draw at the end of the game. The goal from Colombian star Diaz arrives after Darwin Nunez was dismissed for a slight headbutt on Palace central defender Joachim Andersen.

Liverpool have remained winless in the Premier League this season after the 2-1 loss to hosts and arch rivals Manchester United on Monday. They were favourites for the United game as well. The Reds can finally register their first win when they take on Bournemouth at home this weekend.
